AFSCME Rebuts Rauner Contract Claims

(Springfield, IL) — The testy negotiations between the Rauner administration and the state’s largest union are heating up. AFSCME has now responded to the governor’s message last week that outlined the state’s most recent offer on health care, work rules and wages. The union’s point-by-point rebuttal labels Rauner’s claims as “myths,” while explaining its view of these issues as “accurate.” The governor has resisted turning the stalled negotiations over to binding arbitration.
