(BENTON, IL) — A Massac County resident and a St. Louis resident were indicted in U.S. District Court Tuesday for a methamphetamine offense. Acting U.S. Attorney James Porter announced Thursday that 28-year-old Brandon L. Watson of Metropolis and 61-year-old Gary M. Skinner of St. Louis, are charged in a one-count superseding indictment charging conspiracy to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine. The indictment alleges that the offense happened between May and October of last year in Williamson and Massac counties. Both Watson and Skinner are being held without bond pending a jury trial set for March 28. The methamphetamine offense carries a penalty of up to 5 to 40 years in prison, to be followed by 4 years of supervised release and a $5 million fine.
