Rauner Denies New Pot-Eligible Diseases

(Chicago, IL) — Once again, Governor Rauner has rejected suggestions to expand the list of ailments eligible for treatment with medical marijuana. Friday, he turned down eight recommendations from a board of experts, including PTSD, autism, IBS, osteoarthritis and four kinds of chronic pain. The law includes 39 diseases or conditions that now qualify, but with additions to the list, business experts say the business is doomed to fail in Illinois.
