Three Presidential Candidates Face Ballot Questions

(Springfield, IL) — Three presidential candidates don’t yet have a clear path to the Illinois primary ballot because of pending objections. Signatures on Democrat Hillary Clinton’s nominating petitions are being challenged and the candidacies of Republicans Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz are being challenged over questions of their qualification as a “natural born citizen.” Election officials say it’s possible early voting could be delayed until mid-February if those objections aren’t resolved this week.
