No DUI Charges For Woman Who Drove Through Labor Day Parade Crowd

(Westville, IL) — A Catlin woman who drove a van through a crowd of people during a Labor Day parade in Vermilion County won’t face DUI charges. Prosecutors say toxicology shows Christie Collins had no alcohol in her system at the time of accident. She was behind the wheel of a van that hit a group of spectators viewing the 105th annual Labor Day Parade last September in Westville. Eleven people were hurt including four children.
