(Mount Vernon, IL) — A teenage boy is in custody following a police chase in Mount Vernon. Police say the 16-year-old ran off during a traffic stop on Saturday. He discarded a loaded gun before busting into a vacant building. Officers arrested the teen and took him to the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Facility.
