(Alton, IL) — Investigators now say a social media spat led to the death of an Alton boy. Eighteen-year-old Ta’Mon Ford faces a first-degree murder charge for killing eleven-year-old Romell Jones last Monday night outside the Alton Acres housing complex. Police say Ford got into a Facebook fight with at least two other people, who are believed to have been his intended target when he fired into a crowd of kids. Police say more arrests could be coming.
