Rauner: Contract Talks Not Dead Yet

(Springfield, IL) — Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner says contract talks with the state’s largest union aren’t great, but he says they’re not dead yet, either. Rauner and AFSCME have been negotiating a contract for more than six months, but can’t agree on pay, perks and pensions. The governor says the union has rejected all offers and isn’t offering compromises.
