(FAIRFIELD, IL) — Two people in Wayne County were arrested on meth-related charges late Monday night, after Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies and Wayne City police executed search warrants on two homes. Around 11 p.m. Monday a warrant was served at the Wayne City home of 49-year-old Tina R. West in the 900 block of Robinson Street. West reportedly would not answer the officers knock at her door, so they forced their way into the home. Law enforcement reportedly seized more than $2,500 in cash, several baggies containing suspected meth, marijuana, scales and drug paraphernalia. It was also noted at the time of the search that the home was equipped with a surveillance camera of the front door, with a live-feed monitor leading to an upstairs room of the home. West was arrested for alleged possession of meth, delivery of meth, possession of cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the Wayne County Jail where she awaits the formal filing of charges and setting of bail. Just before 9:30 p.m. Monday Wayne County deputies served a warrant on the West Section Line Road home of 44-year-old Timothy S. Abrams. Abrams was arrested for alleged possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. Abrams remains in the Wayne County Jail awaiting the formal filing of charges and the setting of bail.
