(MT. VERNON, IL) — The Mt. Vernon City Council met Monday evening despite the absence of Mayor Mary Jane Chesley and Councilman Dennis McEnaney. Councilman Todd Piper acted as Mayor Pro Tempore for the meeting. Among items on the light agenda, the council heard the Capital Projects Report and a resolution was approved for an intergovernmental agreement with Shiloh Township for the jurisdictional transfer of Sparrow Lane.
