(Granite City, IL) — A Metro East toddler is recovering from a gunshot wound he suffered while he was playing in his home. The shooting happened early Sunday morning in Granite City. Neighbors told Madison County Sheriff’s police that the shooter fired three shots into the front of the house in the 47 hundred block of Warnock. The three-year-old boy was struck in the shoulder and since has been treated and released at a hospital. Authorities are still looking for the gunman.
