MARION, Ky. (AP) — A ferry between Kentucky and Illinois has closed due to rising floodwaters on the Ohio River. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the Cave-In-Rock Ferry closed at 2 p.m. CST Thursday when floodwaters went over Kentucky 91. The cabinet said in a news release the ferry is expected to be out of service for about a week. The ferry connects Kentucky 91 with Illinois Route 1 across the Ohio River between Crittenden County, Kentucky, and Hardin County, Illinois. About 500 vehicles use the ferry each day, on average.
