(SPRINGFIELD, IL) — State law enforcement officials are urging motorists to remain cautious as record rain moves through. Several roads and highways across the state were closed for a time yesterday because of flooded conditions. Authorities say motorists should stay away from standing or moving water. They say it’s also a good idea to plan an alternate route before you leave.
