(ST. LOUIS, MO) — The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the 38-year-old suspect in a high-speed chase and head-on collision in Centralia Friday night, as he has checked himself out of a St. Louis Hospital. Marion County Sheriff Rich Stevenson says law enforcement is actively looking for Seth Lambert who was already wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant stemming from a Marion County meth-related conviction. Deputies on Friday reportedly attempted a traffic stop on Lambert to arrest him on that warrant when he instead sped away and took the deputies and Centralia police officers on a high-speed chase through Centralia, with speeds reaching 85 mph. Lambert ultimately drove west on the east-only Noleman Street, where he struck head-on a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Raigen Schwartz, of Walnut Hill, as she was stopped for a red light at Noleman and Elm streets. Both Lambert and Schwartz were airlifted to St. Louis hospitals Friday night for treatment of injuries they suffered in the crash. Schwartz returned home Saturday, but Lambert remained in the hospital until he checked himself out Monday. According to Stevenson, in addition to the original warrant, and charges in relation to the chase, Lambert is now also wanted on new meth-related charges, as meth was allegedly found on him the night of the crash.
