(HERRIN, IL) — A Herrin man was sentenced Friday in Williamson County Court for being involved in a string of home burglaries in October of last year in Herrin. Jimmy Dean, with the Williamson County State’s Attorney’s office, says 20-year-old Dimitri Johnson was sentenced to five years in prison on a burglary charge and three years on an aggravated fleeing/eluding a police officer charge. Johnson was arrested for the burglaries in Herrin and a subsequent police chase that followed the burglaries. Johnson pled guilty to both charges.
