(CENTRAL CITY, IL) — Police officers from Central City, assisted by Centralia police, executed a search warrant Wednesday at a home in the 500 block of East Rexford in Centralia, where they recovered items they believe belong to a 17-year-old suspect in the December 13 armed robbery of the Dollar General Store in Central City. According to Central City Police Sergeant Nick Heath, police are now searching for Oslo White, after items belonging to him were recovered in the search of the East Rexford home that are believed to have been used in the robbery of the Dollar Store. Heath says shoes and a shirt, among other items, were recovered that match those worn by the suspect in surveillance videos from the store during the armed robbery, as well as surveillance videos from other area establishments in the area that clearly showed White wearing the same clothing just before the armed robbery. White reportedly was not home at the time the search warrant was executed, but they have applied for a warrant for his arrest. If you know of White’s whereabouts you are asked to contact the Central City Police Department at 618-532-4779, or contact your local law enforcement agency.
