(Edwardsville, IL) — It looks like Edwardsville voters will have a say on a proposed ten-million-dollar school bond issue. The school board voted to sell bonds to raise money to be used as short-term operating revenue, but a citizens group opposed to increasing the debt has gathered enough petition signatures to put the idea to a vote in March. The board will meet next week and could drop the bond issue or agree to the referendum.
