(SALEM, IL) — Bail has been set at a combined $750,000 for two people arrested during a late Thursday night traffic stop that has resulted in multiple felony charges including manufacture with the intent to deliver cocaine. Police arrested 20-year-old Marquita A. Reynolds, and 29-year-old Deandre Owens, both of Centralia, after officers reportedly recovered approximately 29 grams of crack cocaine during the stop. Reynolds was formally charged Monday in Marion County Court with Class X felony manufacture with the intent to deliver between 15 and 100 grams of cocaine, as well as Class 4 felony obstruction of justice. Her bail was set at $250,000. Owens was arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance, obstruction of justice and police, and endangering the life of a child. Owens reportedly used a child in the car as a shield between him and police. He was formally charged Monday in Marion County Court with Class X felony manufacture with the intent to deliver between 15 and 100 grams of cocaine, Class 4 possession of a controlled substance, Class 4 felony false report of an offense, Class 4 felony aggravated fleeing police through two or more traffic control devices and misdemeanor resisting arrest. Bail for Owens has been set at $500,000. Both Reynolds and Owens are next scheduled in court January 5, 2016, with their court appointed attorneys. Both defendants remain in the Marion County Jail.
