Rauner Signs Bill To Release Funds

(Springfield, IL) — Certain programs around the state are set to receive funding as part of a measure signed by Governor Rauner. The legislation releases more than three-billion-dollars to pay state lottery winners, operate 911 centers, train firefighters and plow roads. Rauner signed off on the bill yesterday after it was approved by the Illinois Senate. The money is being made available as the state continues to deal with a budget crisis.
