Report: Justice Department To Look Into CPD

(Washington, DC) — The Justice Department will take a close look at the practices of the Chicago Police Department. The feds are is expected to begin an extensive civil rights investigation into the police force. Last week, Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan asked the Justice Department to open this type of probe into the police department. The Chicago Police Department has recently come under scrutiny following the release of dashcam video showing police officer Jason Van Dyke gunning down Laquan McDonald last year.
