Silence On Cop Videos Not Explained

(Chicago, IL) — While the Justice Department decides whether to investigate Chicago police, the five police dash cam videos of the Laquan McDonald shooting are still raising questions because they have no audio. Fired Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said audio should have been there, and the police explanation suggested technical failure or operator error. A federal investigation could determine if either of those were the case, or whether the audio track of the video was altered after the fact.
