Wet Holiday Won’t Deter Travelers

(Springfield, IL) — Despite rain in the forecast, about two-and-a-half-million Illinoisans are expected to hit the road over the long Thanksgiving weekend. The relatively warm weather will enable an estimated two-million passengers to pass through Chicago’s Midway and O’Hare airports with relative ease. Low gas prices are helping to spur driving and an estimated eight-and-a-half-million vehicles are expected to use the Illinois Tollway System this weekend.
