(CENTRALIA, IL) — A 52-year-old Centralia man awaiting trial on Class X felony drug charges passed away this weekend, just days after his half-million dollar bail was reduced to a personal recognizance bond due to his health issues. Michael Mansker Sr., was arrested November 2, after Central City police executed a search warrant on his North Marion Street home and reportedly recovered more than 15 grams of black tar heroin, China White heroin, Crystal ICE methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and cannabis. Mansker, along with 37-year-old Jermaine “Cory” Ingram, of East St. Louis, and 36-year-old Darnell “Mane” Williams, of Washington Park were all arrested and charged in Marion County Court with multiple drug-related charges. Bail for each man was set at $500,000. But on November 13, bail for Mansker was reduced to a $25,000 personal recognizance bond due to health issues. He passed away Saturday. Ingram remains in the Marion County Jail awaiting trial on the charges against him. Williams, who was on parole at the time of his arrest, was returned to custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections and is being held in Graham Correctional Center while he awaits trial on charges against him.
