Rauner Keeps Museum Chief Search In-House

(Springfield, IL) — Governor Rauner will not rely on an outside search firm to find the new director of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. Instead, the administration is consulting with experts in the field and looking at possible candidates on its own. The post became vacant after Eileen Mackevich resigned in October, saying she and Rauner disagreed on how the museum should operate. Rauner’s office offered no timeline for when the job will be filled.
