AFSCME Blasts Rauner For Contract Stalemate

(Springfield, IL) — Illinois’ largest public employee union is once again venting its frustrations with Governor Bruce Rauner. The governor yesterday touted a new agreement with a handful of labor unions. But AFSCME, which represents about 30-thousand state workers, say they’re still without a contract. The union says the governor is sticking to demands for a wage freeze and higher health care payments.
