Blagojevich Appeals To Supreme Court

(Chicago, IL) — Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich wants the U.S. Supreme Court to hear his corruption case appeal. A petition was filed yesterday to the nation’s high court. Blagojevich was convicted on a number of bribery charges for trying to trade the Senate seat vacated by President Obama for political favors. Earlier this year, a lower court tossed five of those convictions. He’s currently serving a 14-year prison sentence.
