(Granite City, IL) — A suspect is in custody after fleeing police then jumping in the Mississippi River. The man speeding from cops in Granite City this morning when he crashed on the McKinley Bridge, then jumped into the water. He was later arrested. Police say the suspect was wanted in connection with a string of car burglaries.
