(Edwardsville, IL) — An East St. Louis man is facing up to 60 years in prison after pleading guilty to killing a Madison, Illinois man two years ago. Prosecutors are recommending a 40-year term for Deneshion Swope who admitted to shooting Jarret Mosby in what police believe was a drug deal gone bad. The suggested prison term would require the defendant to serve 100-percent of his sentence. Swopes’ sentencing has not been scheduled.
