Byford Wayne Baltzell, 87, of Ewing passed away Thursday evening, October 29, 2015 at the Herrin Hospital.
He was born in Spring Garden, IL on March 2, 1928 the son of Willie & Dora (Nance) Baltzell. He married Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Clinton on October 31, 1947, and she preceded him in death on December 23, 2012.
Mr. Baltzell was a member of the Ina Free Will Baptist Church and attended the Rescue Free Will Baptist Church. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a retired Coal Miner and a UMWA member. He loved NASCAR and photography.

Mr. Baltzell was preceded in death by his Parents, by his Wife, by a Son-in-law-Dennis Webb, by 1 Brother-Bill Baltzell and by 1 Sister-Thelma Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 3rd at the Johnston Funeral Home in Ina with Bro. Bryant Harris officiating. Burial will be in the Kirk Cemetery in Ina. Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at the Johnston Funeral Home.
