(MT. VERNON, IL) — 17 years old Devin M Bruns of Mt. Vernon, pled guilty in Jefferson County Court to a charge of Armed Violence, a Class X Felony, in connection with the July 17th, 2015 shooting of Jerry Gill. The shooting occurred in the 900 block of South 24th Street. As part of the plea deal, Bruns will be sentenced to ten years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by three years of mandatory supervised release.
