Elijah W. “Jack” Hayes, Jr., 76, of Mount Vernon, passed away at 7:30 A.M., Wednesday, October 28, at his home in Mount Vernon. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 31, at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, with Reverend Douglas Bowers officiating. Burial will follow at South Hickory Hill Cemetery in Jefferson County.
