(MCLEANSBORO, IL) — A 17-year-old rural Macedonia male has been charged as an adult in connection with a weekend crash that claimed the life of one of the teen passengers in his truck. Clay A. Kelly has been charged with aggravated felony driving under the influence, as the result of a late-night Saturday crash on the Akin Blacktop that claimed the life of 17-year-old Isaiah M. Snowden, of Opdyke. Kelly is free after posting 10-percent cash of a $200,000 bail. The crash remains under investigation. Two other passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash — another 17-year-old, and 18-year-old David C. Young, of rural McLeansboro, suffered only minor injuries in the crash. They, along with Kelly, reportedly fled from the scene of the crash that resulted in the truck being driven by Kelly knocking down a tree and going through the side of a modular home at the intersection.
