(FAIRFIELD, IL) — A 30-year-old Alaska man is in the Wayne County Jail, after sheriff’s deputies reportedly found multiple loaded firearms and multiple containers of marijuana in his vehicle during a traffic stop Wednesday morning on Interstate 64. Deputies spotted Randy C. Myers, of Petersburg, Alaska, urinating on the side of the interstate Wednesday morning and stopped him at the Illinois Route 242 exit. After receiving permission to search Myers’ Ford pickup truck, deputies reportedly found four loaded handguns and four containers of suspected marijuana. Reports show Myers had a Ruger handgun under the driver’s seat, a Remington rifle behind the driver’s seat, a Remington shotgun behind the driver’s seat and a Glock handgun in bed of his truck. All of the weapons were loaded. Deputies also reportedly recovered three plastic bags and one glass container of suspected marijuana in the truck. The total weight was 34 grams, police said. Myers was booked into the Wayne County Jail, where he remains. He was formally charged Thursday in Wayne County Court with Class 4 felony possession of between 30 and 500 grams of cannabis, and four misdemeanor counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.
