(BENTON, IL) — State Rep. John Bradley will have a challenger for the 117th State House District seat in the next election. Benton business owner Dave Severin announced Tuesday he will run on the Republican ticket for Bradley’s seat. Bradley, a Democrat, has held the seat since 2003. Severin told WSIL-TV he’s prepared to do the work and will be out fundraising, getting his petitions filed and talking about the issues. Severin also serves as president of the Benton School District Number 47 School Board.
