(East St. Louis, IL) — An autopsy will be performed on the body of a man found in a burning East St. Louis home. The Illinois Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of last night’s blaze, while the St. Claire County Coroner determines the cause of death. Authorities say, at this point, there is nothing suspicious about the fire and they believe the victim, who was in his 40’s, may have been trying to stay warm. There was no electric service to the house.
