(MT. VERNON, IL) — The Mt. Vernon City Council is slated to meet this evening at 7 p.m. Among items on the agenda, the council will hear on a request from the Mt. Vernon Airport regarding use of Jaycee Lake for a 2016 LSA event as well as a report from the Jefferson County Development Corporation. The City Attorney will give a second reading on a property annexation, a property rezoning ordinance, a conditional use ordinance approval for Menard, Inc., and will seek a resolution approval for parking lot use and maintenance agreement with Trinity Episcopal Church. The meeting will be held at the Rolland W. Lewis Community Building at Veteran’s Park.
