(Belleville, IL) — Officials say one of the two American military personnel who died in a helicopter crash Sunday in Afghanistan was an airman from Scott Air Force Base. Master Sergeant Gregory Kuhse of Kalamazoo, Michigan, was assigned to the 3rd Manpower Requirements Squadron at Scott. Also killed was Air Force Major Phyllis Pelky of New Mexico, two members of Britain’s air force and a fifth person. The cause is under investigation.
