(East St. Louis, IL) — East St. Louis school district officials are turning down the union’s latest contract offer. That means the teacher’s strike will continue. Another bargaining session is scheduled for this afternoon. The two sides are divided on a school district contract proposal that would save the district at least ten million dollars over ten years. Most of the savings would come through salary cuts.
