(WEST FRANKFORT, IL) — The West Frankfort City Council will hold a public meeting regarding the purchase of the West Frankfort Outlet Mall tonight at 6 at City Hall. Back in August, the city council approved the city’s purchase of the outlet mall and surrounding property from owners DeSantis Properties of California for $1.8 million. The city has plans to use the site as a business incubator to lure new businesses to town. City leaders will also try to keep the mall’s current tenants there. Following the public meeting, the city council will meet for its regular meeting at 7. According to the meeting agenda, council members are set to talk about the outlet mall and possibly take action regarding the purchase of the outlet mall, the purchase contract and due diligence review.
