State Stash Of Pot Patients Still Meager

(Springfield, IL) — The state department of public health is slowly adding to the number of Illinoisans whose medical conditions qualify them to use medical marijuana. Another one-hundred people were notified in September that their doctors can prescribe pot products, making about 31-hundred patients in all. The first licensed sale of medical marijuana is expected sometime this month, but the number of potential patients is far fewer than the 75-thousand that cannabis proponents had predicted.
