(MT. VERNON, IL) — Mt. Vernon City Council is scheduled to meet this evening. Among items on the agenda, the Council will present the journal of items from their retreat on September 11 as well as their last two regular meetings and their September 23rd City Council workshop. The city manager will present the capital projects report. The council will request permission for bids to demolish nine structures in the area and quotes for financing a 2015 fire pumper truck. The city attorney will give several first readings of ordinances including one approving a fire truck revolving loan program loan agreement and appropriating funds for payment of that agreement. Finally, the mayor will present a reappointment of Angie Moore to the Minority Affairs and Human Relations Commission. The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Rolland W. Lewis Community Building.
