(MT. VERNON, IL) — Three Mt. Vernon men were formally charged today in Jefferson County Court in connection with residential burglary earlier this month. On September 10, Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call on North 13th Street in Mt.Vernon in reference to suspicious individuals carrying possible stolen items. Deputies discovered a house on North 12th Street that had been broken into, and a report was forwarded to the Jefferson County Detective Division. After a thorough investigation by JCSO detectives, 22-year-old Jeremy Wright, 18-year-old Harley Pulley, and 41-year-old Darrell D. Hicks were all taken into custody on burglary and theft charges. The three men are being held in the Jefferson County Jail, with bail for Wright set at $40,000, for Pulley it was set at $50,000 and for They both were charged Tuesday morning with Class 2 felony burglary and misdemeanor theft. Hicks was formally charged Tuesday with Class 2 felony burglary and Class 2 felony theft between $10,000 and $100,000. His bail was set at $41,500.
