(MT. VERNON, IL) — The Mt. Vernon City Council will meet for a workshop scheduled for today. at 4 p.m. at the City Hall Chamber Room. The Council will receive citizen requests and addresses from the audience, review and update fire department priorities, review and plan miscellaneous capital issues, prioritize all capital projects, and review ordinances regarding the gravel surface vs. hard surface debate, the burning ban, and housing codes for non-owner occupied dwellings.
