Barbara Ann Roberson, 72, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Saturday Evening, August 29, 2015, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon.

She was both July 28, 1943, in East Prairie, Missouri, the daughter of James Paul and Virginia (Brock) Childers. On February 16, 1967, in Belle Rive, she married Donald Roberson, and he survives. The ceremony was performed by Kenneth Holland.
She graduated from Anniston High School, and later went to Rend Lake College and Mt. Vernon Beauty School. She worked as a CNA in Home Health Care.

In addition to her husband, Donald Roberson of Mt. Vernon, she is survived by three sons, Chris Roberson of Davenport, Iowa, Robert Roberson of Mt. Vernon, and Rick Roberson and wife Louetta of Dix; two daughters, Cindy Krisch of Mt. Vernon and Donna Luktich and husband Luke of Coulterville, Illinois; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Terry Childers and wife Pat of Collinsville, Illinois, and Jim Childers and wife Vicki of McLeansboro, Illinois; four sisters, Glenda Loftis of Mt. Vernon, Phyllis Kellison and husband Randy of Tilden, Illinois, Judy Reichman and husband Steve of Irvington, and Sandy Schuster and husband Donald of McLeansboro; a sister-in-law, Barb Childers; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles Bulmenberg and Don Childers; and two sisters, Sherri Miller and Cathy Childers.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Roberson will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at 1:00 p.m., at Osborn Funeral Home, with Benton Fitzjerrells and Gary Davenport officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
