(Springfield, IL) — Governor Bruce Rauner’s office is urging the University of Illinois to turn down a $400,000 payment to the school’s disgraced former chancellor. Phyllis Wise is in line for the parachute payment after she resigned amid a scandal. Rauner’s office yesterday sent a letter to three University Trustees urging them to oppose the payout. Wise leaves as an investigation shows she hid information in her personal email.
