State Senate Set To Vote On Temporary Budget

(Springfield, IL) — The Illinois Senate is expected to vote today on a temporary budget. The two-point-three-billion-dollar one-month spending plan would fund certain services and would pay state workers through July. The House approved the measure last week but Governor Rauner has already said he won’t sign it if it reaches his desk. The Senate also has until the end of the day to consider overriding Governor Rauner’s veto of the year-long budget passed by the General Assembly in May.
