(FARINA, IL) — A police chase Monday night resulted in two individuals being sent to the hospital when the car in which they were fleeing crashed on Interstate 57. According to the Illinois State Police, a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Anthony Quinn of Glenwood, was traveling northbound on the interstate at a high rate of speed as he reportedly fled from a Farina Police Officer. Quinn reportedly passed a vehicle on the left, lost control of his vehicle, left the right side of the roadway, rolled into a ditch and came to rest on its top. Quinn and his passenger, 18-year-old Ashley Johnson, also of Glenwood, were both reportedly taken by ambulance to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham for injuries sustained in the crash. ISP says charges are pending.
