(SPRINGFIELD, IL) — Flooding is causing a large amount of damage in the urban areas of Illinois. The IDNR released a report that shows flooding has caused more than two-point-three-billion-dollars worth of damage to urban areas from 2007 to 2014. The most common areas that are affected the most by flooding are the sections of the communities with older sewer systems.
