(Waterloo, IL) — A Mount Vernon girl who had been reported missing around campgrounds near Wartburg, Illinois has been found safe. Jate’a Frank is now being treated for dehydration after she was discovered yesterday morning in the woods next to the Treehouse Camp. Police say the 13-year-old ran away from home. The girl got into a cab with money stolen from her mother and headed for the camp that she once attended. The cab driver, Casey McPeak, was charged with endangering the health and welfare of a child.
