(FAIRFIELD, IL) — Two former employees of the Fairfield Memorial Hospital have been arrested on charges they forged prescriptions. The hospital’s former Information Systems Director, 43-year-old Bryan Mitchell, and 44-year-old Melissa Krumereich a former ER nurse at the hospital were both arrested Thursday and were formally charged with forgery. Mitchell was also charged with unlawful possession of a prescription form. Court records indicate the prescription drug obtained was phentermine – a diet pill. Bail on both suspects is $1,000 cash. Fairfield Memorial Hospital officials report both Krumreich and Mitchell no longer work for the hospital.
